The Hotel is an 18th Century Home which has been extended in previous years. The House luckily has kept its original beauty with a little care and attention from previous occupiers.

The Hotel was taken over by local brothers Duncan and Donald Black on the 1st of July 2006. Born and bred in Oban the brothers are keen to make locals and visitors very welcome, whether for meals, drink or a place to stay on their holidays.

Set in lovely surroundings and gardens the Hotel is ideally situated only 5 mins from the town centre (by car) or (15mins by foot, max). Yet once here you could be mistaken for thinking you are an hour away from the town due to the quiet relaxed feel.

The Hotel has plenty of free parking, Two Bar areas, Dining Room, and Four Rooms/Apartments, two of which are Self catering. We can also cater for any Functions, from Birthday Parties to Weddings.

Accommodation

At the Soroba House Hotel we have to offer Four lovely spacious apartments. Two of which have self catering facilities if so desired.

There are Three Doubles and One Twin. If you are looking for a family room then that is no problem. We can offer folding beds in any of the apartments to sleep four.

The accommodation also has a seperate entrance to the main hotel, allowing for ease of coming and going.

Bedroom

The bedrooms in all our apartments are very comfortable, with plenty of space.

Self catering

Our two self catering apartments have recently been re-decorated, received new carpets and new leather sofas.

Please note that these two apartments do not have to be booked under self catering. They are still available under B&B.

Main lounge dining area

This is our main area for diners. We can comfortably seat up to 80 guests at any given time for a meal in this one area alone.

This is also the area where we hold large Functions and Entertainment. On those particular nights the dance floor is cleared of tables for guests to show off their moves!!
